I am HAPPILY married to the most amazing, Godly, loving, handsome, and funny man... Steve! We've been married since 2003. Steve and I are active in our church, Community Bible Church, in San Antonio! In our down time, we love to spend time with each other. We also love spending time with our families and our friends. We are both HUGE Dallas Cowboys fans! We have no children yet... but hopefully that will change soon! We do have two dogs that are our "babies". They are both golden-doodles. The Black one is named Briley and the golden one is Landry.

Birthday Celebrations

Wow! I'm so behind in my blogging it's ridiculous! A long time ago I started downloading my pics (as you know I love to do)... but then I never got around to writing them and publishing them! So... since I'm so far behind, I'll make my words short and sweet and add all my pics!

My birthday was back in August (yes, that's how far behind I am!) and I kinda had a birthday "weekend"- it was so fun!! Hopefully I can remember all the details- seeing as I'm older and all now, my memory is slipping somewhat!

I had a fun day at work the day of my actual b-day (Aug 12th)! My co-worker and boss (there are only 3 of us in my division) took me to lunch at a yummy Japanese place where they cook right in front of you! Our cook was VERY entertaining so it was a lot of fun. Then, back at the office to celebrate with everyone on my floor! I had gifts, a chocolate pie (my fav) and chocolate chip cookies! YUMMMMM!!!

Every year Steve decorates for my birthday and I just love it!

Thursday night (Aug 12- which was my actual birthday) the Cowboys played, so I told Steve I just wanted to do something simple so we could watch the game, and then go out for a "real" dinner over the weekend. So... that's just what we did! He took me to my FAVORITE place to eat (which happens to be simple)... CHIPOTLE!!!!!!!! It was delicious- as usual! We went home and Steve had bought some of my "favorite things"!

I found a new drink that I L.O.V.E.!...

And my favorite candy...

Then, Friday night Steve and I went out for my "real" dinner celebration! I wanted to go to Tiago's!! If you ever come to SA, you've GOT to go there!!!

Here's my handsome date:

And me- loving my date w/ my hubby!

And now for the most AMAZING dessert!!! (you get it for free if it's your first time- you have to tell them it's your first time and ask for the cake!... and if it's not your first time, it's worth the $5.00)- or if you tell them it's your birthday, they may give it to you for free.... our waiter did!!! (thank you Mr. Waiter!)
Mexican Chocolate Cake

Can't see it all that well... take a closer look...

Day 2: Saturday (Aug 14th)

We have some really good friends (Becky and Wes) who we celebrated with on Saturday night! Wes and I have the exact same birthday- but he's 10 yrs older). So, we met up with the two of them at Willie's! We enjoyed some yummy food and we (Wes and I) both are on their "birthday" list... so you get a coupon in the mail for a free entree! So, we both presented our coupon to the waiter. So, since he saw those, he realized it was our birthday... so he brought both of us our own Ice Cream Sundae!!! Another FREE dessert!!!! Mmmmmmm!!!!!!
(sorry no pics of that event)

Day 3... Sunday (Aug 15th)

Aug 14th is my sister-in-law's (Steve's sister, Steph) birthday! So, each we get to celebrate together!!!!

We met up with Ted and Sherry in Austin so we could all be together to celebrate! We ate lunch at Chili's and then Sherry had made a delicious cake! It's actually a cake Steph made for Sherry's birthday last year and I put my request in at that time to have it for my birthday cake this year! So Goooooood!

Here are some pics from that celebration

Steph w/ Zach & Autumn (I cut Ed off by accident! Sorry Ed)

Steph & I blowing out the candles

Then, on the way out we spotted these benches at a restaurant that doesn't deserve to be named so we had to get a picture!

Goldendoodles!

It's been a while since I've posted pics of our "babies" on here. They are both so fun and so big!

We took them to the vet last week for their checkup and shots. Briley is at 53 lbs I think. She has always been in the 50 lb range. She's 4 yrs old, so she's done growing.

Briley has such an amazing personality! She LOVES people! She is calm, protective, loving, and care free. She doesn't let Landry bother her (Landry likes to be the "boss"). Landry takes her bone, her kong, her whatever she has and Briley just lets it happen like it ain't no big thang! She loves to be petted. She likes to lick the floor! (YUCK) She loves to be around us all the time. She hates to be outside... unless it's at the dog park. She loves to play fetch with a tennis ball! She's scared of storms!

This is her "get that camera out of my face!" look: (can you see her? she's so dark and in front of our dark couches and with my camera still misbehaving, this makes for a bad pic!)

Landry (aka "Little One") is one little fatty! We started calling her "Little One" when we got her because she was TINY!

This reminds me of how much I love our concrete floors and new furniture! Bye bye Carpet and Linoleum

But now, Landry is 66 lbs!

She LOVES to be petted and sit at (more like ON) our feet! She, like Briley, is a HUGE people person! She's also protective. She is very "silly" if that makes sense for a dog. She's fun but can be chilled out just like Briley. She makes funny noises! She sounds just like Chewbacca!

(note, I have more pics of her because she sits there long enough for me to take them! Briley on the other hand will move the second she sees me pick up my camera and point it in her direction!)

She doesn't like Briley to have any of the toys if she can't have one too. So, she'll hoard them even if she's not really wanting it. Like the bone in her mouth below... she didn't care to play with it, but she didn't want Briley to have it either! So, she'll just sit with it in her mouth while I pet her...

Landry loves to be outside! She will whine at the door just so she can go sit in the yard! She could care less about fetching a ball. She doesn't care about treats (unless Briley has one and then she'll take it). At the dog park she plays for about 5 minutes by running around and then will come follow us or sit with us where ever we are!

This is her second favorite position- spread eagle!: (her first is being on her back while you rub her belly!)

These two truly love each other!!!! Landry has "graduated" at home and is no longer in her pin. After this incident

and this... which happened at the beginning of the year
she was "grounded" for quite a while. So,now they roam the house (except for the bedrooms) all day long and play.

When we are home, they REALLY like to play... they wrestle! It's like watching Mufasa and Simba play on Lion King! It's great! They both trap each other on the ground and chew (very softly) on the others ear, leg, tail, whatever they can reach!

And these are kinda random, but it was funny to me. We go to the dog park with them and they ride in the back of the truck. (One of us rides in the back with them so they don't jump out or anything). Anyway, I grabbed my camera to snap a shot of what I saw when I looked out my side mirrors! So cute...

Ausies Tourny #2

Steve and Titus played in another sand volleyball tournament this past Saturday. It was H.O.T. HOT!

Here's proof (heat index not included- no telling what that was!):

Titus' parents and Steve's parents all came to watch them play this time. It was fun having such a big "fan club" there! I'm sure we embarrassed them a little... but I also know they enjoyed having us there cheering them on!

Since there are so many pics and videos, I'll just let these speak for themselves for the most part.

Very thankful for these...

The heat was wearing the fans out... I can't imagine how Steve and Titus felt actually playing in the sun... ALL DAY LONG!

Titus' dad

Titus' youngest son, Riley

Steve blocking the snot out of that guys shot!

Some great "highlights" of the day!... enjoy!

I was talking with my co-worker about her 16 yr old daughter missing her boyfriend because they haven't "talked/texted" in 4 hours! Wow... it made me remember days before texting... before cell phones... before emails! You had to WRITE letters and MAIL them by use of a POST OFFICE! Do teenagers know what a post office is? I don't mean a "UPS Store"... I mean the United States Postal Service Office.
