So, the game started at 7:15pm or 7:30pm... can't remember. We got to the stadium at 11:45am to get in line. We stood, and stood, and stood, and stood... you get the picture... in line until they let us in about 3:15pm (after MUCH confusion by the staff!!!- I won't even talk about how crazy it was!!! I will just say they cause fans to get a little IRATE)
Once we got thru the gate everyone took off to get into the actual building. I got us a spot and had to spread out to save Steve's place. (See, they separate you outside... males in one line and females in the other). So, the men took longer and Steve was further back in line than I was. So, I was VERY GLAD to see him get in the door so I didn't have to fight anyone else off!!!
I wouldn't recommend the party pass!!! It's not worth it. Buy a cheap seat and watch the game on the AMAZING Jumbo-tron!(sp?) Once you're in your spot, you don't want to leave for food, potty, anything because it will be hard to "save your spot". We again stood, and stood, and stood!!!! Watched the entire game, yelled, stood, cheered, stood. Steve never sat down. I did sit down on the floor for about 15 minutes during half time. Overall it was fun and it was a GREAT game! (with the exception of dumb Romo!) Enjoy the pics...
After the game we went to stay with one of my best friends from college... Karen... and her hubby Jason! We stayed up 'til about 2am having a "midnight snack" and talking/laughing... the usual when we are with them! They are some fun and FUNNY people!!! The next morning before we hit the road back to SA, they made us breakfast!! Thanks Karen and Jason! We miss y'all
We were both so phyically exhausted we stopped in Temple to take a nap because we couldn't make it all the way back to SA!!! I started feeling yucky that night, but thought it was pure exaustion! I woke up Tuesday morning and could tell I was running a fever. We had just recently bought a new thermometer, so of course I expect it to work. Here's what it said my temp was...
Do you see where the "100" mark is.. then see the 4, then the dark line in the middle... let me zoom in closer... see below....
almost 105??? REALLY???? I knew I was sick with a fever, but I wasn't dying or "ER" sick! So, Steve went to the store to get a new thermometer and this time a digital one. Welp... here's what it said...
I mean, how opposite can you get? Needless to say, I couldn't rely on these. I ended up sick at home and then to the doctor. My real temp was 101.1! I've been home all week and this is the first day (Friday) I haven't had a fever! YAY! Anyhoo... I'm wondering if my body was just exhausted from the game and then couldn't recover from the virus that I apparently already had in my body??? Don't know?!?!
