I'll make them somewhat short just to get myself caught up. Let's start with the UT game that we got to go to back on Oct. 30th.
When it came time to pick which UT game we wanted to go to this year, we figured picking the Baylor game would be a good choice considering that UT was not playing as well (or anything like that used to)... Baylor was playing well... we thought it would be a pretty good match up this year. Welp, that's the game we went to... but UT was just awful!!! I won't even go into details about the game, I'll just post a few pics... which were the most exciting moments of the game!
First... the game was a night game and we left Saturday morning (before noon) to get there on time and walk around, etc. Welp, we were more than 22 miles outside of Austin when we ran into this...
It was BUMPER to BUMPER... hardly moving at all traffic! I thought the traffic was for everyone going to the game and was floored that it was already that crowded on the highway!!! At the rate we were moving, we weren't going ot be able to make it at all!!!! Thankfully (in a non-morbid way) there was a wreck and that's why we weren't moving. We finally passed the accident and were back up to 70mph all the way in! (I did pray that whoever was in the wreck was okay).
So, we get to the game and find our seats. The last few years we had seats on the TX bench side, 40 yard line, on the 18th row... with all the Alumni/Season ticket holders. So, those seats are hard to beat!!! This game we were on the other side (Baylor bench), on the 46th row, on the 20 yard line. They were still AWESOME seats... don't get me wrong. The only down side was that there were more Baylor fans on that side of the field since we weren't in the section with all the Alumni! They were good sports throughout the game... even when they won.
One of the best parts of the "game" was having Colt McCoy there! They recognized him before the game and retired his jersey! It was great!!!
This was one of the FEW good plays that Gilbert had... a run in for a touchdown.
Okay... that's it for this blog. Stay tuned for more updates/posts to come!!!
